Bernie, I have the Raymarine 8001 auto pilot and have no complaiants about it, easy to install and @ under $1200 (hydraulic), it's hard to beat. Pay the extra money for the knob control over the push buttons, you won't regret it. I interface it with a Garmin 2010C and it was a piece of cake.
