AJ the missing

Well, it's been two weeks since the storm and not a peep out of the Seabrook yard about my beloved AJ. Eddy G. stopped by the camp this weekend to confirm that a buddy of his had gone by water to the yard and the building is still intact and appeared to have no watermark or water around it. I'm starting to get itchy for some info, but understand how things are in N.O. I've sent an email to the yard in hopes they may have relocated a server but no response. Anyone out there have any info about Seabrook Marine and the fate of the owners, the Montz family?

Finished cleaning up the camp this weekend, got the tree off the dock, no damage worth talking about. The O2 depletion from the storm debris rotting killed every marine organism, period, from the crabs, minnows to big finfish. A state fisheries guy tested the O2 levels around our area and said no one had ever seen them that low, nothing could live in it. Stuff is nasty too, stinks all the way down. I ran the Goo Boat in the boathouse to blow some of the stink out into the canal and it just made it worse.

Nature will heal it in time, but it's gonna take years.
