First I would like to say one could never compare any Bertram to an Ocean yacht!!!!
I've worked on many of them from brand new to early models and they are a POS. Viking has major problems with their new hull and rudders and props arid being burned from cavitation. I know this first hand because I replaced 2 props for one owner, price 30K. I am in the process of installing a custom swim platform on a 54 Hatt and I have to say it is amazing how neat & clean the boat is rigged. There is a fine line a boat mfg. has to walk when designing and building a boat and the new Bertram’s are pretty sweet and their still battlewagons. We have to remember the egos that come with fishing teams and they would never be able to buy a Bertram only fish one. Most people buy a yacht for more than fishing.
