I've seen Bertram try and make an impact on the market and the bottom line has been the following: "Bertram has a top notch crew fishing their product (the guys on the Moppie factory boat know boats and fishing) while fishing the tournaments ( BBC, Shoutout, White Marlin Open etc....) and this crew has real concerns about the product they are fishing, until Bertram starts listening to their crews and makes the appropriate changes they will continue to fall behind such lines as Viking, Hatty and dare I say Ocean... If Bertram enters the small boat arena 45ft. and under they will be confronted by Pursuit and Luhrs head on. I know what your thinking, "This is a Bertram how can those other lines compete". Let me tell you this first hand, the competition in the boat market is fierce, and Bertram has a long way to go to catch up! Don't get me wrong the hull is fantastic but in my opinion Bertram needs to get away from the yachty group and back into its roots of balls out fish boat.
