Hurricane relief

A huge number of you guys have contacted me about what you can do to help folks down here affected by the storm. Most have wisely stated they want to make sure whatever they donate does the most good and is not skimmed off for "expenses" like many of the national charities do.
Sending hard goods, food, colothing, etc. is really not an option because the shipping eats up the value, and the shippers like UPS down here are not in full operation. Money is the best.
Our church here in Baton Rouge has a relief fund that is 100% dedicated to help real individual folks in real need, any money donated will go 100% to help real people, no load, no skim. My Bride is involved with it and promises results. She is getting the poop on where to send checks and what to put on the 'memo' line. It's St. James Episcopal here in Baton Rouge that's been here for a very long time, my Momma was baptized there in 1912 and it was old then.
I'll post up poop and happy to answer any questions.
