Don't know if it's the price of fuel, but I have fished Montauk for over 40 years and have never seen a Labor day weekend off the Point with so few boats. Normally, Holiday weekends have the look of the Normandy invasion at the usual hotsots. Not this year! Charter guys talking about perhaps a fee PLUS the cost of the fuel if prices stay this way. Wait, this is a disaster in the making. Walter
