Thanks, guys, we are hanging in there. It will be a very long time before there is any serious fishing around the mouth of the Miss. River, but my son, Capt. Brent, just made a liason to relocate his inshore charter fishing business to Cocodrie, LA, south of Houma where we used to have a camp. Ya'll give him some business, he's the best. 225 268 8420 or www.venicecharters.com.
Looked at the hi res. photos from NOAA of the building where AJ is and looks OK - it's only about a mile as the grosbeak flies from the marina where Wet Spot is, about 3 frames to the west. The owner of Seabrook Marine, Dwight, told me that after he put AJ and some other boats in the new building, he was gonna put his 58 Bertram motor yacht in the 77 ton Travelift and leave it as high as he could in the slings. Well, the NOAA photo shows that big blue Travelift with a 58 Bertram in it totally intact right by the launch walls for the Travelift. I remain encouraged about AJ. After my family and friends, AJ is pretty close to this ole guy's heart. I know you understand.
