Well here on the outer banks the tourist beau posted this 9/2 "Dare/Outer Banks Tourism Authority for release mid-afternoon and we will be sending statement and list to all media outlets. I am well aware of the initial impact that yesterday's fears had on cancellations and today the picture looks much more positive for supplies but consumers are still uncertain. Please make every effort to distribute the attached list to front line employees so they are able to honestly reassure visitors and citizens alike that our fuel supply is staying the course." the list just listed every gas station in the area and that prices are changing daily. but no worry we have gas.
I am a fireman and we are not to do any training or any not essitial driving. The cops are not to let there cars run all day like they normial due w/ a/c on to keep the computers from getting hot in the car.We do not have our own gas station and the gas station we use has told us when they run out,they don't know when they will get re filled, One day the next it's ok and then back to don't have any fuel.
But it's ok to come visit us with you big suv and drive all you want will have fuel for you but our ems, fire, and police need to save fuel for our visitors.
What about our charter boats you fish one day then might not get fuel for a charter the next.
If we are in a shortage like the gov said I wish everyone was on the same page and conserve fuel @ $3.39 a gal this morning don't right now. It sure in not going to any cheeper.
