Well put , Mike.
Just back from taking Trey to the airport for him to fly home. The Baton Rouge airport is so busy it is hard to imagine. Aircraft and helo's of every make model and discription. Saw 4 Search Dogs being loaded onto planes acting just like people, saw a strecher with 4 infants on it being off loaded , military personnel, Federal agencies, volunteers, Red Cross, game wardens and other law enforcement people holding shotguns are all milling around and coming and going. All heads turned when 3 CH 46's and 6 Blackhawks all came flying in together and landed together. I left the airport with a 1-2 hour wait for Trey to endure to fuel up. Sorry Trey, but thanks so much.
Houseboat Snapper is gone and many fond memories. Its small comfort to know that everyone's houseboat is gone, not just ours.
But I consider myself lucky, just material things gone. I firmly believe, as UV said ,that Wayne and Jim are gone. Sorry for that too.
The biggest trouble here is no communications, cell phones and land lines are undependable are work intermitantly.
Thanks so much to all of you for all the calls and words and e-mails of encouragement. John, Matt, Ric, Timmy and the rest thanks for the offers of help. We're fine here in Baton Rouge. Meanwhile there's another TD, I heard.
