I talked to Andre via phone yesterday. They are all fine. He had talked with someone at Venice. The Reel Relief had part of an awning fall into the cockpit but was otherwise OK.
Port Eads was on the east side of the eye, about 20 miles from the east side of the eyewall....likely saw a 20 plus foot storm surge and may have had waves greater than 50 feet. The only buoy that I saw reporting wave data was 70 miles from the eye and reported 46 foot seas.
The Pipe Dream II was at Grand Isle. This storm turned toward Grand Isle so fast...Friday it was supposed to go to the Florida panhandle...sat night it went from a 2 to 4/5 and headed to the river. I had someone try to move her, but the roads had already been made north travel only and admittance to the island was denied. No word from Grand Isle since the storm, but it can't be good.
