In Response To: Thin wall cutlass bearings (Paul Haggett)

Paul,

Did H&H give a reason specifically for your struts or is this just a policy decision?

If your struts are in good condition, e.g. no electrolisis metal loss, then they can be bored for the thin wall bearing. The bearing has a 2" O.D. & only 1/16" of wall surface has to be removed.

If you can't find a local source for the work, you could send them to me and I'll have Robert do the work. He's done at least 6 sets for me alone.

Br,

Patrick
