Well, here we go

The mayor of N.O. is ordering a manditory evacuation of the entire city as we speak. We just got back from the camp. Have everything battened down there best we can. Another Joy is in the hi&dry storage building at Seabrook Marine on the Industrial Canal in New Orleans, so she is about as safe as she can be unless the builing falls in on her, which with 160 mph winds could happen, but I got a big bet laid down with my bookie.
If anyone wants to get out of N.O., take the causeway to the north shore, then La. 22 West to springfield, then La 42 and 43 to I-12 West at the Albany/Sp[ringfield exit and go west to Baton Rouge. If you get on I-12 westbound east of Hammond they will make you go north on I-55 and you can't get off until at least Amite, so that's why you need to duck under I-12 by taking La. 22 and cross over I-55 (which is in contraflow) at Ponchatoula. Me & the Bride just came on I-12 from Springfield and there is zero traffic on I-12 right now, the Blond Bombshell was doing about 95 and we made the usual 45 minute trip in 29.
If anyone needs a pit stop, my house is right at the I-10/I-12 split. Home is 225 927 6258 and cell is 225 937 1319.
This is the big one folks.
