There is an add on dentent kit from Morse for the throttles and for the shifts - it's a chrome/brass plate that attaches to the side of the control via the two screws on the body and comes with detent springs and balls. The throttle one is pretty useless since it only has a detent at idle. The shifter one has three holes, f/n/r. You remove the top handle screw, put the ball & spring in and you have a pretty good detent. I added the shifter detents a couple of years ago and also the 1" lever extensions that screw on where the handle ball is and the ball screws on the top of them - that extra inch did the trick on my sorta sticky shifters.
