25 year old twin females are always a welcome addition on my overnight trips, in addition to the staples favored by UV!
When we go offshore, in addition to the full assortment of rods -- 80lb curved butt, all the way down to 16lb standup and 20lb spinning gear, we also make sure we have the extra flying gaff and a spare hook, 2 cockpit harpoons, darts and a ball for each, safety lines for rods and reels, first aid kit (offshore one), complete set of tools to make any necessary repairs, spare parts to pretty much do anything short of replacing pistons, sea anchor, extra lines for tailroping, food and water for the entire crew for at least 2 days, lots of ice, fish bags, knives, BOLT cutters, enough trolling lures to make Melton Tackle jealous, a large assortment of various sized hooks for chunking at night, light sticks, hyroglow light, premade chunking leaders from 30lb to 200lb (all in ziplock bags labelled for each pound test) Florocarbon leader in case the fish are really leader shy.
For an overnight canyon trip up here in New England, I will typically bring 3-4 flats of butterfish, and some squid (right now the Stop and SHop grocery store has the best price up here). Also squid jigs for catching live bait. Ballons, floats, sinkers, etc.
I'm sure I've forgotten a lot, but it is a start anyhow.
