I put the ducer just forward of the water tank on the stb. side about 6" up from the centerline. Works great and the 22 degrees works fine to keep it vertical since the deadrise is not the full 24 that close to the centerline. Make sure you grind the inside real good to get crud off the glass so the 5200 will stick. I placed the cylinder on the hull and used a small level to get it right, then marked it. I took a marks a lot and did the inside and outside of the cylinder (end up with two concectric rings) so it's easy to put the 5200 bead down. It only takes a few oz. of mineral oil to fill the cylinder after the puck is installed. Buy it at the drug store.
Now as far as mounting the display, I ended up putting the 2010C right in front of the steering wheel on the FB. It's like having a heads-up display on an airplane. The entire mounting system consists of two ash wood blocks about 3" x 6" that mount to the top of the coaming where the bottom of the windshield attaches. I have a venturi windshield, so there is lots of room, might be a problem with the stock one tho.
I have pix on my home computer if anyone wants to see. Shoot me an email at home, royvictor@cox.net and I'll send them this p.m.
