Steyr, Pops just put a set of used 6's in his boat to replace 440's. They are smaller, lighter and a whole lot more powerfull at the rated 236hp. Now fuel consumption is fantastic, think he's getting 2mpg and cruises 24 knots, Still tweaking props so mileage is probly off a bit, no flowscans.

Engines rev high, 4500rpm, but incredibly smooth. Water cooled turbos and fuel, engines are nice to say the least. However at speed they are quite abit louder and required sound proofing.

He put them in his 28 Hatteras, weighing in at 14,000 or 17,000 lbs dry with original 318's.

May take a few years to see how they hold up, but from some of our customers from Europe, they say Steyr has a great reputation.
