All I know is that when I was in holland this spring I met a young engineer- total gearhead type - who insted of being into souping up boats or hot rods was into the challenge of making alternative fuels work in diesel motors. It is fringe now, but for how long? I don't see my self driving a 25B called the "Golden Arches" but it is a positive thing to see people spurning convention, following their dream almost obsessively to the point that they make things work and change the world. Who knows what the silver bullet is to reduce North America's dependence on foreign resources - could be this - I doubt it, but could be.
