Jim,
The main tank is baffeled with light gauge aluminum sheet metal. The is one baffle runnubg fore to aft & three perpendicular baffles, creating a total of 8 compartments. The lower corners as well as the intersections are notched for fuel flow.
Numbering from fore to aft and from port to stbd, you should be able to a wand into 1 - 6 from the forward fill plate opening. From the pickup plate hole, you should be able to access 7 & 8.
Be sure to have a big Class B extinguisher near by, just in case... Class B Extinguishers should be used on fires involving flammable liquids, such as grease, gasoline, oil, etc. The numerical rating for this class of fire extinguisher states the approximate number of square feet of a flammable liquid fire that a non-expert person can expect to extinguish.
Multi purpose Class ABC extinguishers will coat all surfaces in contact, and work as well, if not better, than a Class B alone, but will leave a coating that might be very difficult to remove in clean up.
Grounding your air wand would be a good idea. With the bronze plate removed, you'll need to re-establish a ground connection with the baffles with a jumper cable.
