I just purchased a 31b that has diesels and it had been sitting for 2-3 years without being run. Before sea trial the owner had the fuel polished (140 gals) and the tank cleaned. There were no problems during sea trial but after a 3hr run to her new home we started to lose power. We made it home, removed the racors and found they were black with sediment would not have gone much further. I felt this would be an ongoing problem so I changed out the filters and now run an all Fleetguard system (FS1000 & FF5013) recommended by Tony Athens over at boatdiesel.com. No problems going on 60hrs.
