Jim - you might want to give this a try. Pour about 5 gallons of Gum-Out in the tank with the bad diesel, then make yourself an air wand out of some 3/8 copper tubing that is long enough to reach all parts of the tank from the opening. Attach an air hose to the wand and blow the doo-doo out of every nook and cranny to loosen up the crud. Injecting air into the bottom of the tank will create a huge amount of swirl. Do this a few times and just before you get the folks to pump the tank, do it again. I used this method to mix up some fuel stabilizer in the 275 gallon diesel tank for my home genset, and it is amazing how about 100 psi of air down in the bottom of the tank will stir it up.
