All hoses from tank to carb are new. Carbs are new and fuel pumps only a couple years old. I did not change the short fill hose though. Didn't think it was needed as fuel only touchs on way down to copper transition over to tank. Think I'll change next time I'm pulling up floor (Winter Layup).

I have a case of filters on boat and have changed, but they didn't seem bad. Think my problem now is the gunk imbedded in the engine from last year prior to removing old Tainted fuel.

I keep hoping a good run will burn off the gunk, goo, tar, sludge. But each time I think I have it licked, a valve hangs up and pops a push Rod.

Anyway thanks for the responces, makes me feel a tad bit better Knowing it is most likely the fuel, or hopefully was the fuel.
