We just removed a pair of Cummins 6BTAs with ZF 220 1.5:1 gears from a 31 Bertram SF. They have 300 hours SMOH according to the previous owner of the boat. We had a mechanic check them out with a heat gun, etc. on sea trial. They turned 2800 rpm, normal temp and pressures, turbos came on when they should, and ran clean with 20 x 24 4 blades, a half tower, and 2/3 fuel on board. She ran 31 knots full up.
The owner has decided than in the interest of keeping the Economy going he would repower with new 330 hp. We want $ 15000. for the pair fob Fort Lauderdale. I can provide mechanics phone number in Marathon/ Fl. Keys. Great way to get into diesel cheap. Please contact me by email.
