Anyone have a different answer then alcohol?

Not saying it is definitely the alcohol blend. If it was just my boat I would say I got a bad tank of gas or someone dumped some suger down my tank.
Now it has happened to me, a 31 Bert at pops dock, pops boat and I have heard some similair stories here on this forum. I think that rules out one bad tank of gass and sugar in my tank, unless someone hates 31 berts and old Hatteras's.
My theory, its a problem on old boats, that rules out most boats as they don't last that long. Newer boats have Alum or Steel tanks which don't last anyway and get replaced so no chance for sludge to buildup.
Problem seems to be localized to areas with "Oxegenated Fuel" or ethonol.
Problem occurred the same year they started using the blend, full time.
Don't know for sure, but its alot of coincidences for me, maybe its another additive used in the fuel mix.
What I do know for sure, whatever it is, its all over the valve sitting on my desk and the carb sitting on the shelf next to me. Anyone curious or want a look I'll send you a photo.
Anyone with a alternative clue as what it may be or a way to fix, please let me know.
FYI
I have been using Amsoil "PowerFoam" and have been making slight headway. Spayed on some old mucked up valves and loosened the stuff up. I Warm up engine and spray into carb at idle. Shut engine, Wait a few minutes, crank up and take for a run. Seem to get a bit further each time. If it don't clear up soon, its off with the heads again and new tank.
