28 SF Rear Bulkhead

I just picked up a 28 in NJ and have in NC. The rear bulkhead (windows) needs major overhaul. Do these bulkheads come out easily. There are breaks in the formica on the bottom edge which are allowing water filtration to the substrate. While painting would work we would like to go to a new single sheet fiberglass product. However don't want to open a can of worms during boating season.
