i went sunday morning at 5am in a 28'parker pilot house.7 penn 50vsr,2 200 quart coolers filled with ice,4 men with gear,a ton of my custom spreader bars and daisy chains to match in every color or configeration. we were in the canyon trolling at 6:20am. what can i say average 51mph.this is not a raceboat made into a center console.the boat has 4 captain chairs and a large cockpit.drop the two spreader bars with 14 yellow/green squid with the trailer in pink the way a squid appears when being chase.i leave a gap of 10' than the same color on short daisy following the spreaders than jets off outriggers 20' further than the daisy chain.center rigger for marlin way back.we limited out in 1 hour.had a ball with 50lb to 60lbs of yft and my right elbow with mutiple staples holding it together.3 marlin we hook up on other boats near us.we cross into the hudson canyon and follow the drop off on the east wall to the elbow---lat39.33/72.23.we filled both coolers and headed home this is the 4th trip with equal sucess.lost 90lbs class wahoo at boat a few weeks back -cut mono like butter-who knew everything and anything in hudson canyon water is 75degrees.anybody want tuna bluefin/yellowfin e-mail me and i will bring cooler nassau/sufolk.
