Hal - the best stuff is called "Power Brite", and comes in a plastic jug like a gallon of Clorox. What I use is made for the Venice, La. Ace Hardware store, and probably has to change its name weekly to stay ahead of the EPA. Someone told me Home Depot sells an "aluminum brightener" that is the same stuff. It's reformed hydrocloric and hydroflouric acid with some wetting agent (a/k/a some Dawn) in it. You can use plain ole hardware store muriatic acid, cut with water to about 10% with a few squirts of Dawn in it, but wash it off after just a few minutes. Re-apply if needed. Go slow and do many apps until you get the concentration right.
