Capt. Mike - that was my point, if there was a point - thus the firing pin comment. We cannot compare road use to marine use, totally different loads. The 6B's in the lower hp's have proved to be very reliable. The only reason the common rail electronic engines are out now is the EPA Tier 2 emission regs that become effective Jan. 1, 06 and regulate all new diesel engine sales with a few un-important exceptions. None of the mechanical controlled diesels can meet the new regs.
