I say it all depends upon who is doing the job. I am a big fan of Awlgrip, if you have someone doing the painting/repairs who is very knowlegeable and skilled with Awlgrip. If they know what they are doing, I have seen incredible repairs and blends, but if not, then don't get near it. I agree with UV though, I prefer paint over gelcoat. Just my opinion
