One of the guys on my dock has a Rampage (Slampage) which was Billy Martin's first aluminum tower job. Billy built it 19 years ago. Anyhow, it was looking like a well used tower until this year and now it looks brand new.

The owner did exactly what you did, with one exception. I know this is going to sound like sacriligious speak, but instead of using Corrosion X, he did 4 coats of Woody Wax. Honestly, the tower looks Brand New. From what I hear, the Woody Wax is a clear polymer sealant.

We will see how it holds up, but for the past 3 months is looks terrific.
