Velvet Drive Question

I have two questions about my Velvet Drives 1.52:1 on my B28.

Question1: Last two weekends when I take it out, the port side "squeaks" when I put it into gear to pull out of my slip. The squeaking stops within 30 seconds or so. I'm wondering if it's the stuffing box as it feels dry after it sets for a week, but has a small drip after I run it for a few minutes.

Question2: I have read past threads about low RPM rattle on the Velvet Drives. My drives seem to rattle at ~500-700 RPMs, but dissappear at higher RPMS. No slippage or other sounds/vibration.

Do I need to worry about anything or do any maintenance?
