Chrysler LM 318 timing

Finally got my new to me 28 in the water and trying to tune the engines. Does anyone know what the initial timing should be for the chrysler 318? Is the counter rotating engine different as far as the timing goes? I think I have the firing order correct but any info would help. The starboard (counter) motor will not advance timing with throttle. They run but still slugish even after the can of power tune through the carbs. What is the fluid capacity of the velvet drive 71c? This boat has not been used much in the past year and I may be in the market for some new carbs. Quadrajets are what is on there now. Thanks for the help in advance. Where would I be without this website?
Regards, Kevin
