I fished a raytheon v850 (crt) for years from a 24 gw. it was on my dash, under the canvas. terrific fishfinder, but definitly hard to see in the sun. I would have to put a chart over it to block out the sun so i could see it. I currently have a furuno crt on my flybridge, and i can see it better (less reflective light) but it still washes out in the sun. my next ff will be color lcd, which doesn't seem to wash out as bad.
