Teach me to brag on my 21KW genset

After running about 2 hours, I noticed the voltage on the Next Gen 21 going up slowly. It always runs at exactly 240 volts, as shown by my good VOM at 120.0 or + or - a few tenths on the 120 outlets on the bench in the shop. Cycles are always 60 or 61.

Anyway, noticed the voltage on the 120 v. side climbing to 123, then 125 and finally to 127. Cycles stayed steady at 60. Then the power came back on and I shut her down and switched back to the pole power. VOM now shows 120 on the pole power, 60 cycles, so assume the VOM is working right.

The set has an electronic on-board voltage regulator, and I guess that's the prime suspect. Did check the independent ground wire from the on-board breaker box to the separate ground rod, and it appears intact. It was still raining some so did not get into any of it real deep.

Any thoughts, Faithful? Circuit board in the electronic voltage regulator gone bad or heating up? Capacitor? I'll call Gino at Next Gen when I get back from CT, but your thoughts are always apreciated.
