Frank, I changed my helm unit from Hynautic to Sea Star and I installed it with my K-19 cylinder. I just spoke with Sea Star Tech about some bleeding issues I had. In our discussion, I asked if I should change to a Sea Star cylinder to keep it all the same make in the system. His response was to keep the k-19 cylinder. They still make them. It didn't make any difference if I had the k-19 or the Sea Star cylinder. He helped me with my problem and strongly recommended I stay with the K-19.
I think I would call them if I were you adn I think they will tell you to get a new K-19. By the way, they returned my call after about 3 hours. Seemed very helpful.
