Genset troubles

Faithful,

I have a Phasor LP6 genset, and I have been having problems with it since day 1. The unit will start fine, but won't run for very long. Sometimes the unit will cut out after 2 minutes, sometimes 10, and sometimes right away. I believe UV suggested I add another fuel pump inline between my tank and Racor, but that hasn't helped. The unit is mounted outboard of the port engine. Any insight will be a wonderful help.
