Well Shrimp Pimp, that's a deal. A 200 amp auto switch alone is worth that. Make sure you check if it's single or 3 phase tho. If your house (like almost all houses) uses single phase current, you will have to reconnect the electric end of the genset to produce single phase. About a 30% reduction in KW between 3 and single phase.
Makes my point tho, that big diesel gensets are dirt cheap. You can buy a surplus railorad 20 KW refrigeration set, powered by the venerable GM 2-71 turning at a blazing 1200 rpm for about 2K. They are all 3 phase, but easily reconnected to single phase, and put out an honest 14 KW at single phase. Run for 50,000 hours easy, but weigh 2200#.
Diesel tankage is another easy call. Call your local fuel jobber and inquire about a farm tank. Big 275 gallon oval shaped upright tank, brand new, galvanized steel, costs about 300. My 275 is full of 50 cent diesel, but that is from long ago. Put fuel stabilizer in the tank, a good Racor 500 in the line, and you good to go for a lifetime. If you fill the tank before you put the stabilizer in, make an air wand out of some copper tubing, rig it to your compressor, and poke the wand to the bottom of the tank thru the filler on top and shoot some air around. Will mix that stuff in a a few seconds. Wish I'd thought of that, buy my rich and famous son, Capt. Brent, came up with the idea.
