Yeah, think this one is pretty old. Some of the small ones Honda demos at the FLL show are really quiet. Another thing to make sure about is that the pole electric service is disconneted from the main panel so you don't backfeed the utility line and kill the linemen trying to get your service back up. Best is a full transfer switch that can only feed the house from the pole or the genset, no way to screw up. To make any genset work its best, drive a separate 6-8' ground rod near where the set will be used and connect to the gen with appropriate size wire. I used #4 stranded copper for the 21 KW. Increases the capacity of the genset a lot vs. using the house ground, which may be on the pole side of the transfer switch, usually is.
