Rawleigh,
In a shady environment, cool morning or afternoon, use WINK...
Available at the grocery store, 12 oz brown plastic bottle, usually in the cleaning or laundry shelves. WINK is a dilute phosphoric acid and MUST be applied while wearing rubber gloves.
Work small 25 - 30 square inch areas at a time, using a pad of terry cloth folded to about 3"x3". Have your water hose & spray nozzle close at hand.
Begin in a corner of the window working the WINK into the surface, with a rotational movement. Keep working it wet until all of the film is removed from that area of the glass. Rinse & start a new area, overlapping the first. Continue throughout the pane, rinsing between sections.
Don't allow it to dry on the glass or to allow direct sunlight to hit your work area.
After all is clean, thoroughly rinsed, and dried, treat the glass with Rain-Ex, using much the same application technique as for the wink. Polish off all traces & smears of the Rain-Ex with clean terry cloth and your done. Re-apply the Rain-Ex when your windows no longer bead water...
Best regards,
Patrick
