Overall I like the boat, but an endorsement by Lee Dana would not be a positive in my opinion. I had the unfortunate experience of working with him, and the positive experience of working with Bruce Pfund, and David Jones on the engineering of a fix for one of the early 72' models(5 built) that he had a heavy hand in the construction/design of. It was poorly engineered in the beginning, had bad use of core materials, and putting it nicely very slopply construction.

The man could never admit that something he was responsible for had such great issues that it was really not a safe boat. We even flew him out to California to see the hull deflection test first hand and still he was in disbelief of the extent of the issues. He was really shitty of the phone, and did not deliver anything of value.

He is supposed to be talented, but in my dealings with him, it certainly did not show through.
