I've installed many simrad units with little problems.

The trick is to make sure the flux gate is set and mounted properly away from metal and make sure you go into the menus and set the parameters up for your needs.
Setup is really easy with a little reading.

While factory settings are okay, knowing how to go into any piece of nav gear is essential for trouble free and proper operation.

If your VCR is still blinking 12:00, it might be too late...............
