Our AP-11 fluxgate compass went bust after one season. I still haven't called in the issue since SeaNile has been out of the water for so long I kind of forgot about it. You also have to stay on course for a little bit before hitting the "on" button, otherwise it will steer hard to one direction. All said, it is relly simple to operate and once you are on course it does a great job of keeping you right on target.
