Engine question too

In Response To: genset, fuel lines&thru hull fittings (JK)

Almost forgot about this one. Now that we know the boat won't be ready till spring of 06 is there anything I need to do to these engines? By the time we splash they will have been sitting for 18 months. Would it help to crank them over once a month? They are Cummins 6BTA 300hp and ran great when we pulled the boat in Sept 04. As soon as the boat hits the water we'll have a Cummins mechanic there to check out the port engine slight smoke and do a quick go over the systems to make sure they survived 18 months on the hill.
