SeaNile no-go for 2005

Might as well make it official and let everyone know there is no way in hell SeaNile will see water this year, let alone the AC Rendezvous. We were a little aggressive with our estimate to have the entire boat done in time for late summer 2005. Now we have to make sure she's ready come spring 06.
Everything has been going smoothly, no major issues and we haven't encountered anything we didn't plan for. As usual, estimate your time and at least double it, and budget, well it all depends on what you want to do. Electronics are really expensive, Release helmsman chair...a lot expensive, fabric for the interior, all the odds and ends, it just doesn't stop. When all is said and done this will be one sweet 31.
The interior has been painted and looks amazing. The layout really opens up the inside and should be very confortable too. The new engine boxes are roughly in place, shelves are in place for batteries and genset and the cockpit deck is just coming to life. The in-deck fishboxes are awesome, all the wood (stringers, etc) has been stained white, just about to run all new fuel lines and hook up the genset, then comes wiring the entire boat, again. We'll add the usual toys too, LED lighting, dvd player, mega stereo system, flat panel tv. Still need to get a countertop for the interior, need to route the AC lines, get new hose to all the thru hulls, buy a bilge pump or 3, and on and on.
For electronics we went with Raymarine. We now have the aftermarket dash kit for the bridge and have more room for the electronics. Went with two E-120 displays, 4kW radar, B260 1kW ducer, two Icom 502's, Ap-11 and then all the things you need, dsm 300 blackbox, NMEA multiplexer, etc.
Anyway, I've been really lazy at updating the progress on a website but I do have about 300 pictures so far. I will try to put together a DVD of the good pics and bring it to the AC rendezvous. Probably will use a laptop to play the dvd, most likely on Joe's boat (Gina L) since he is doing 99% of the work and is the mastermind of the project.
