Cabin Hull Insulation?

Tore out the original, nasty 1" fiberglass insulation glued to the hull under the port cabin windows. I'm presuming that insulation here is helpful in preventing condensation and, of course, helping somewhat in the colder months, so plan on replacing it; but, am thinking that (except for fire/toxic vapor hazard) 1" extruded polystyrene (Styrofoam Square Edge) is probably best. It conforms easily, is cheap, and will not absorb water like the fiberglass or isocyanurate foam. Would this pass a CG inspection for chartering? Is there a better product? Appreciate others' experience!
Thanks!! Bob
