All these reports make me even more sad I couldn't be there this year! Those who have been know Vic puts on the bestest, longest fishing party anywhere - no one else could pull this off! Glad everyone got home safe (where's Ernest?), and John's group has got some huevos for running across the Gulf from Venice to Galveston without so much as another boat for company and backup. I would like to second what Vic said about Mr. Cranston - John is as tough and hard core a fisherman as I've ever met. I sitting here listenign to rain on my office roof (taking the week off to try to fish with my son a few days, and go to the back doctor) - we haven't had rain in over a month here, and if it had made it through June, would have been the first totally dry June on record. I'm taking the rain as a good sign, as long as we don't get a flood out of it! Congradulations to everyone at UVII, again.
