292 Straight Six

I know this board is for the legend of boats, but I would like some help pertaining to my Bert 20 if possible. I recently purchased from Napa a 292 straight six and I am not satisfied with the performance, I was wondering if anyone knows the horsepower of that engine and if the truck version (which I have) is any different to the marine version. I hope some one can help, if not at least recommend someone who can, thanks
