Thanks again, I will look into this hopefully this afternoon if family and friends will give me the day off after work. I was a Meytag Repair-Man last night after work to save sister a few bucks.
Anyway, I don't have the chrylser ignition but an aftermarket unit that replaces the plate under the rotor. One of the first and best improvements I made about 11 years ago. I put in MSD coils last year and saw some improvement, MSD Ignition system is on the "list".
I will look at the damper for timing marks, but seem to remember that did not work out in the past. Forget if it was a lack of room, no marks or no plate. Previous owner rigged up a plate on the bell housing and have been going by that for years, Yeah I know it don't make it right, I'll look into again. Question, why would you get a false reading from the flywheel? Still connected to the crank.
Again thanks for the responces, I'll head down armed with some info today.
