I wasn't too keen about just advancing more then the specs called for. Glad I didn't run more then a few minutes. I have electronic igniton so don't have a dwell calibration to my limited knowledge.

I'll take another look at the mechanical advance, seemed Okay though, advanced as rpm's came up. I mentioned vacuum, but not to the distributor but for the PVC Valve. Thats supposed to be blocked off I thought.

I'll look into the other items mentioned, but think I need to check my timing mark first, as I talked about it today I remember the mechanic really moving the distributor around quite a bit when I was having problems. I may have the wrong timing mark in the window, it is just a scribed line at the flywheel.

Thanks again, got a few things to look for, besides a good yard mechanic.
