Paul,
Remember if fluid can leak out, salt water can leak in. Have a friend with a B28 that lost a cooler and all his damage came from the salt water intrusion. Make sure your fluid is still bright red and does not smell burned. If it smells burnt then you damaged one of the clutch plates, if the fluid looks like a stwaberry milk shake, then it has water in it. Sometimes you get lucky and it will only leak when the cooler gets pressurized from the trany pump while running, and you should notice an oil sheen behind the boat.
