Guys,
I have Mercruisers 454's. I installed a 240 gallon gas tank in the cockpit this year.

As expected the addition 500 lbs or so has raised the waterline a little.

Prior to the new tanks the exhaust ports were about 1/2 covered by water when fully fueled. Now they are about 3/4 covered. So I expect them to be fully covered with a crew, ice and bait.

Will this be a problem. Do I need to raise the exhaust ports? Should I put some weight in the Anchor locker to bring the stern up?

The max head pressure at 4" is about ".1 PSI", I can't imagine that a big block would have a problem with this?

any thoughts?
